About
I am 31 years old, grew up in Muiden and currently living in Muiderberg with my wife and son. I love design, history, running, football and Formula One. Besides this, I spent most of my time playing with my son and meeting with friends or family.
In the last decade, I have grown from a creative designer into a UX designer and finally Teamlead (for over 5 years). I translate business ideas into digital interfaces, starting from gathering the client’s wishes to designing a fully working prototype of their digital asset and managing the development team during construction. During this process I am responsible for the wireframes, process diagrams, information structure, wireframes, visual design, user experience design, user stories, tasks and tickets, meetings with clients and stakeholders, project management and testing. It’s a multi-functional role with a main focus on design, and part focus on project management.
My career so far
I started my design career in 2017 after graduating in Graphic Design from Mediacollege Amsterdam. I joined OBM as a Creative Designer, where I worked on social media campaigns and content for clients including Flexa, Van Gilse and the Dierenbescherming.
As digital products became increasingly important, OBM launched its Digital Factory, and I transitioned into a UX/UI Designer role. Over the following four years, I worked on a wide range of digital projects for clients across different industries, combining UX/UI design with project coordination and close collaboration with developers and clients.
After this, I joined hello it’s me as a UX Designer. Although I initially joined in a design-focused role, I quickly took on broader responsibilities within the website team. Because I was already involved in coordinating both design and development, I soon became Team Lead of the entire website team, overseeing both the design and development side of projects.
This progression has allowed me to grow from a visual designer into a multidisciplinary designer and team lead, with experience across UX/UI, digital products, project coordination and team leadership.
